Welcome to the 3D page of CNC-STEP
Here we show you photos and videos of work pieces which have been milled with our machines only. In most cases software PCNC (part of the delivery scope) has been used.
3D-milling is probably the most interesting subject, when dealing with machining solid material. Within this page we will always show you new examples. Starting with the simple machining of just one side up to Scanning with a 3D sensor and 3D-machining with the 4th axis, almost all following examples have been produced with software PCNC, which is part of the delivery scope.
Flacon milled in polystyrene with a 3mm radial router
Of course you can mill a piece as such in perspex or timber
You design a 3D-Cad model, generate a...
....dxf File using e.g. Desk Proto in a DIN ISO file format, that’s it.
The combination of our series High-Z and e.g. PCNC is perfectly suitable to mill 3D solid models of any kind. A rotational axis with a tip width of 200mm will be available shortly.
Pre-roughing of a small sphere
The hemisphre was finished in only 18 minutes.
This material is excellent for presentation, because it does not produce dust and dirt.
VIDEO ! This lever was designed in Corel Draw, therefore actually is a 2D-object

During the next few days and weeks we will constantly update this page. Many more interesting 3D-jobs, descriptions and explanations of how to realize these pieces most efficiently (choice of tool or software) will follow.
New !! Scan 1000 Pro
Sensorical-Scanner 3D for hard materials.
Reproduction of a chin piece for a violin.
The file used was generated with our 3D Scanner
No magic involved............
3D engraving in birch with a 0,4mm burin
The horse’s legs have a thickness of approx. 0,3mm
Many thanks to AH-Soft for a fantastic DIN-ISO file
Similarly in a larger scale in aluminium
3D engraving for coins and medals is coming
Small brooves as seen here cannot be felt
Example for 3D milling with our High-Z S-720 (customer photographs)
Many thanks to Mr. W. from the Netherlands who supplied these photographs.
Minitautr connection rod milled of aluminium using a S-720
Applications for model making
Polishing up after milling, finished.
3D Milling in alu, timber, plastics and other materials
3D milling operations are quick and clean z.B. in POM
This kind of plastic is very hard and therefore most suitable for milling operations
Here we mill the prototype of an airplane wing
Obviously statues or figures can be reconstructed. Many thanks to the company Filou, who have supplied this file.
A helicoptor rotor blade. The file was processed completely in only 25 minutes. Router: 3mm radial router
The Result: divieded with a clearance of 0,2mm for a fine surface.
Files are easily produced e.g. with Turbo Cad or Becker 3D and then converted into a file format that can be read by PCNC. File conversion can be done with e.g. Desk Proto Lite in a DIN ISO
Milling of a small model airplane. Processing time aprox. 40 minutes.
we provide for movement
