Fiberglass router with modern geometry
With the Amana Tool® fiberglass router, comes the modern material processing geometry consisting of a multi-bladed cutting edge with high sharpness and a Spektra™ coating. This ultimate combination of fibreglass router durability and surface finish is beneficial for materials specifically designed for aerospace applications. Modern materials present CNC machine operators with new challenges that can be met with ease using these special multi-flute fibreglass routers with nano-ceramic coating, thanks to a winning combination of geometries.
The coated fiberglass routers are ideally suited for machining:
- Acrylic stone
- Phenolic composites
For milling polycarbonate, we advise using the slowest recommended feed rates and the shortest router bits required for milling polycarbonate.
With its nACo® nanocomposite coating on the cutting edge, the fiberglass router’s characteristics are extreme nano-hardness and heat resistance. While on the one hand, this prevents oxidation and high heat exposure of the milling cutter. On the other hand, it maintains tool performance and extends the tool life of the milling cutter up to 2.5 times compared to conventional tools.
After a milling application with the fiberglass router, the tint of the coating will fade, but its beneficial effect will remain completely.
