The Industrial Milling Machine “AceroDURO”

Thanks to the extreme torsional rigidity of the steel frame of the industrial milling machine AceroDURO, which incorporates steel profiles up to 25 mm thick, the machine mills steel, stainless steel, and other metals with outstanding precision.

In addition, the AceroDURO easily and precisely carries out operations such as tangential knife cutting, dosing, drilling, gluing, marking, or engraving.

Steel profiles up to 25 mm thickness

The steel plates and steel profiles used for building the AceroDuro industrial milling machine have a thickness of 25 mm!
The bridge profile, with dimensions of 25 x 120 mm, is designed to be more than just massive and is additionally supported by two 20 mm HIWIN linear guides on the Y-axis, ensuring high torsional rigidity.

Industrial-quality steel milling

The CNC machine is fully designed for 2D and 3D milling of stainless steel and steel.
All other, usually softer, materials are thus self-explanatory.
Extremely stable mechanical components, in combination with the 20 mm HIWIN linear guides on all movable axes, result in a total machine weight of over 450 kg (AceroDURO industrial CNC milling machine including base frame, with a travel path of 1000 x 1000 mm).

Freely Configurable Accuracy Classes

The drive on all axes is powered by four brushless, powerful hybrid stepper motors from premium manufacturers such as Nanotec. The backlash of the CNC machine with our standard ball screw spindles is typically around 0.02 – 0.03 mm, which is usually more than sufficient.

Professional Control Software with 1.6 MHz Clock Frequency per Axis!

Die Ansteuerung der Maschine übernimmt unsere leistungsstarke Steuerungssoftware „KinetiC-NC“, die über den Ethernet-Anschluss am Steuerungsmodul für ein störungsfreies, prozesssicheres Arbeiten sorgt. Die AceroDURO Industrie-Fräsmaschine erreicht im 3D Betrieb (3-Achs Synchronbetrieb) Verfahrgeschwindigkeiten bis zu etwa 8 Metern/Minute. Das sind bereits beachtliche 130 mm pro Sekunde. Im 2D Betrieb erreicht die Fräsmaschine noch höhere Fahrgeschwindigkeiten.

Equipped with Stepper Motor Technology

All machines in the AceroDURO series are also equipped on every axis with high-quality stepper motors from Nanotec. Highly efficient, precise, and with a long service life, these stepper motors operate almost wear-free and without step losses.
This way, we remain true to our roots: CNC-STEP was originally founded with the concept of manufacturing machines exclusively with stepper motors (hence the “STEP” in the company name).
